Target Audience:

The ASNR 54th Annual Meeting is the premier Neuroradiology meeting in the world. The target audience includes:

  • Neuroradiologists in practice and research
  • General radiologists who read Neuroradiology studies
  • Young professionals and trainees
  • Brain, Spine, and Head and Neck imaging Scientists
  • Clinicians from related disciplines

About This Module:

This module is composed of four parts:
  • MR Neurography: Plexus and Peripheral Neurography John A Carrino, MD, MPH
  • Optimized Imaging of the Instrumented Spine Lawrence N. Tanenbaum, MD, FACR
  • Spinal Cord Imaging: Advanced Techniques Meng Law, MD, MBBS, FRACR
  • Spinal 4D MRA Falgun H. Chokshi, MD, MS

Upon completion of this module, participants should be able to:

Part I:MR Neurography: Plexus and Peripheral Neurography John A Carrino, MD, MPH

Describe critical technical elements for MR neurography; discuss the indications for MR neurography; provide examples of common pathologies identified with MR neurography

Part II:Optimized Imaging of the Instrumented Spine Lawrence N. Tanenbaum, MD, FACR

Optimize imaging of the instrumented spine by identifying the causes of CT and MR artifacts

Part III:Spinal Cord Imaging: Advanced Techniques Meng Law, MD, MBBS, FRACR

Compare the utility of DTI to newer multi-shell, multi-shell DTI techniques in spine imaging; identify the obstacles to progress in DTI research; describe the potential of fMRI and other advanced imaging techniques for spinal imaging.

Part IV:Spinal 4D MRA Falgun H. Chokshi, MD, MS

Explain the emerging role of time-resolved spinal MRA in the diagnostic work-up of spinal vascular malformations; evaluate the imaging features of spinal vascular malformations on time-resolved spinal MRA.
